Houghton Parish Council
A Parish Councillor vacancy currently exists on Houghton Parish Council. The Council is a democratic public body where individual views and opinions are welcomed. By taking a place on the Parish Council you will be able to represent the village and bring your ideas to the table which will be considered, debated and resolved by a vote. It is your chance to have a say on the future of the village and to be part of the team considering matters such as housing and development, traffic and speeding, village assets and how public money is spent.
Notice is hereby given that, as no request was received for a by-election, the vacancy for a Parish Councillor (HOUGHTON PARISH COUNCIL) will be filled by co-option.
Electors who are interested in standing are invited to submit a letter, or email, of application to the Clerk.
Appointments to the positions will be by majority vote of the Parish Council, at a meeting. Candidates may be invited to speak about themselves at this meeting.
